CCPA Do Not Sell

Required for California businesses under CCPA/CPRA. Creates a /do-not-sell page with a built-in opt-out form. Submissions are emailed to you and the requester, stored in your dashboard, and set a browser cookie so the preference persists.

Sitewide. Automatic. No shortcodes.

The banner injects into every page via wp_footer the moment you enable it. No theme edits. No shortcodes. It works on day one.

01 / 04

Category Toggles

Visitors control Essential, Analytics, and Marketing cookies individually. Their choice is stored in localStorage and a browser cookie — and pushed to GTM/gtag on every page load.

02 / 04

Google Consent Mode v2

On every accept, reject, or save-preferences action, the plugin pushes gtag consent update and fires a kmgalc_consent_update event to the GTM dataLayer.

03 / 04 PRO

Geo-Aware Banner

Detects EU visitors (GDPR) and California visitors (CCPA) via ipapi.co. Shows the correct banner to regulated visitors — and grants consent silently to everyone else so they're never interrupted.

04 / 04 PRO

GTM Consent Mode v2

Full Google Tag Manager integration. When a visitor accepts or declines, the plugin updates analytics_storage, ad_storage, and ad_user_data so your tags fire only with proper consent.

Every consent choice. Logged. Exportable.

Every time a visitor accepts, rejects, or adjusts their cookie preferences, the plugin writes a record to a dedicated database table — timestamp, their choices, the method used, and a SHA-256 hashed IP. No personal data stored.

01 / 04

At a Glance

Dashboard tab shows the last 50 consent events at a glance.

02 / 04

Full Export

Export the full log as a CSV file anytime — for audits or regulators.

03 / 04

Explicit Choices Only

Geo-auto silent grants are excluded — only explicit user choices are logged.

04 / 04

Do Not Sell Handling

Do Not Sell opt-outs automatically set marketing consent to denied.

What Webmasters Are Saying

“Used to spend 30–45 minutes per client site on cookie consent and legal pages. This cut it to five minutes. Having all three documents generate from one profile is exactly what I needed.”

Maria R. Freelance Web Developer · Austin, TX

“The consent log CSV export is the feature that sold my clients. I can show them exactly how many people consented each month — that's a tangible compliance deliverable they understand.”

James S. Agency Owner · Dallas, TX

“I didn't know I needed a Do Not Sell page until I read about CCPA fines. Installed this, clicked Generate, and it was done. The opt-out form even emails me when someone submits a request.”

Tina L. E-commerce Owner · San Antonio, TX

Straight Answers to Real Questions

Is the free version actually complete, or a trial?
Genuinely complete for a single site. You get a real Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and CCPA Do Not Sell page — all generated and published automatically. Plus a sitewide cookie banner with Google Consent Mode v2. There's no time limit and no credit card. Pro adds consent logging, geo-aware detection, GTM integration, and monthly compliance emails.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Install the free plugin (download it directly from kennedymedia.com — it's not in the WordPress.org repository), then open your WordPress Dashboard and click the Pro tab inside the Kennedy Auto Legal Compliance widget. From there you can purchase at kennedymedia.com and enter your license key to activate Pro features on that site.
Does the cookie banner actually block scripts?
The plugin signals consent state to Google Consent Mode v2 (gtag) and the GTM dataLayer on every user action. This means any tags configured to respect consent in Google Tag Manager will only fire when appropriate. The plugin does not natively intercept third-party script tags outside of the GTM/gtag ecosystem — if you need script-level blocking for non-GTM tools, you would need to configure that separately in GTM.
Are these real legal documents or just templates?
The plugin generates structured, legally-framed documents based on your actual business profile and the data types and clauses you select. The Privacy Policy includes all required GDPR and CCPA sections; the Do Not Sell page is built specifically to CCPA/CPRA requirements. That said, all generated documents include a clear disclaimer: they are templates and do not constitute legal advice. For complex or high-risk situations, consult a licensed attorney.
What happens when legal requirements change?
The plugin runs a weekly check against a template version feed hosted at kennedymedia.com. When updated document templates are available, you see an admin notice on your WordPress Dashboard. Clicking regenerate rewrites your existing pages with the latest language — your business profile and clause selections are preserved. Pro users also receive a monthly compliance email checklist to help catch anything that needs manual review.
Will it slow down my site?
No. Frontend assets are only enqueued when the cookie banner is enabled. The banner script loads in the footer and is lightweight — under 8KB uncompressed. All admin logic runs exclusively on the WordPress dashboard. The plugin has been tested with Divi 5, Elementor, and WooCommerce with no measurable impact on page load times.
What does the consent log store — is it GDPR-safe?
The consent log stores: timestamp, analytics choice (yes/no), marketing choice (yes/no), the method used (accept_all / reject_all / preferences / do_not_sell), and a SHA-256 hash of the visitor's IP address salted with your WordPress secret key. The raw IP address is never stored. Silent geo-auto grants are excluded — only explicit user choices are logged.

Your Site Deserves to Be Protected.
