Why I Built This

When People Stopped Googling, Your Site Went Quiet.

I have been building WordPress sites since 1997 and watched SEO reshuffle itself three or four times over. This shift is different. When Google changed its algorithm, rankings moved. When people started asking ChatGPT and Perplexity instead of searching, sites that never adapted did not rank lower — they disappeared from the answer entirely. AI systems do not send the crawlers you are used to watching in your logs, and without a clean, structured invitation, most of them skip your site and cite someone else.

The File

llms.txt is the invitation

Think robots.txt, but positive. It tells AI systems exactly what your site covers, who wrote it, and where to find the best of it — generated automatically from content you already have.

The Gap

Anonymous content gets ignored

An AI model has no reason to trust your page over ten others on the same topic unless it knows who is behind it. That is exactly what the Site Authority section supplies.

The Blind Spot

You have no visibility today

GPTBot and ClaudeBot are hitting real WordPress sites constantly. Most setups log none of it, and some are accidentally blocking those crawlers through Cloudflare or a security plugin.

What It Does

The Free Version Is Genuinely Useful. Pro Removes the Limits.

Every feature below runs from one dashboard widget. Nothing requires a shortcode, a template edit, or the command line.

Three LLM Files, Automatically

Generates /llms.txt, /llms-full.txt, and /llms-sitemap.xml from your existing content. Served dynamically — nothing written to your filesystem.

Site Authority Section

Your name, credentials, location, founding year, and expertise sit at the top of every LLM file — the difference between a citable source and background noise.

Site-Wide AI Crawler Logging

Logs AI crawler visits across every page, not just the LLM files. See which bots are active, which pages they read, and whether your CDN is silently blocking them.

PRO

E-E-A-T Author Metadata

Author credentials, bio, word count, and reading time pulled per item from WordPress, Yoast, and Rank Math. The richer the signal, the stronger the case for citation.

PRO

Featured Content Pinning

Add the custom field _kss_featured to any post and it rises to the top of your LLM files with a star marker — your strongest work, read first.

PRO

Top Crawled Pages Dashboard

A live ranking of your five most-visited pages by AI bots, right in the WordPress dashboard.

Auto-Regenerate on Publish

Every time you publish, the plugin rebuilds your LLM files automatically. Set a daily or weekly schedule, or trigger it manually any time.

Yoast & Rank Math Integration

Noindex settings from both plugins are respected automatically, and author credentials pull straight from Yoast's job title field.

PRO

CSV Export of Crawler Logs

Download your full crawler log as a CSV for reporting, auditing, or client conversations.

WooCommerce Support

Toggle it on and product pages get included in your LLM files alongside posts and pages.

Install Free. Upgrade the Moment You Outgrow It.

Getting Started

Up and Running in Under 2 Minutes

1

Install the plugin

Find it on WordPress.org and install from there, or upload the zip via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Activate it.

2

Fill in Site Authority

Open the dashboard widget, find Site Authority & E-E-A-T, and add your name, credentials, and bio. Do not skip this — it is the most important step.

3

Save, regenerate, verify

Hit Save & Regenerate, then visit yoursite.com/llms.txt to confirm it is live. A 404 means you need to flush permalinks under Settings → Permalinks.

FAQ

Questions I Actually Get Asked

What is the Site Authority section and why does it matter?
It is a block at the top of your llms.txt that introduces you — your name, credentials, location, years in the field, and areas of expertise. AI systems read this before anything else on your site. Without it, your content is anonymous. With it, you have a credentialed identity an AI model can attach to a citation.
Where does the E-E-A-T author data come from?
Author name and bio pull from WordPress user profiles. Job title and credentials come from Yoast SEO's job title field, with fallbacks to Rank Math and standard WordPress user meta. If a field is empty, it simply does not appear in the output — nothing is fabricated or assumed.
Does this write any files to my server?
No. All three LLM files are served dynamically through WordPress rewrite rules. Nothing touches your filesystem, and there is never a stale cached file — regenerating updates them immediately.
Will it conflict with Yoast, Rank Math, or my sitemap plugin?
No. llms-sitemap.xml lives at its own URL built specifically for AI crawlers. It does not replace or interfere with your standard XML sitemap, and Yoast/Rank Math noindex settings are fully respected.
Does it work with Divi?
Yes. The plugin runs entirely in the WordPress backend — no front-end CSS, no JavaScript, no Divi builder interference. It runs on Divi sites in production, including this one.
My llms.txt returns a 404. What do I do?
Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes. That flushes the rewrite rules and registers the LLM file endpoints — it takes about three seconds and fixes it in most cases.
How does the Pro license work?
It is an annual subscription, one site per license. After purchase you get a key by email, enter it in the dashboard widget, and Pro features unlock immediately. Billing and cancellation run through a Stripe customer portal linked directly in the widget.
Is this only for technical users?
No. Everything runs from a single dashboard widget with plain-text fields — your name, credentials, a short bio. No shortcodes, no template files, no command line. If you can write a WordPress post, you can run this plugin.
